Overview - The scenario
The BBC, in association with the Recycle Now organisation, are looking to develop a cross platform series of games, videos and animated stories to promote and raise the profile of recycling amongst young people (it is up to you to identify an age range).
They are looking for ideas for characters to be used during the development of this project, the only specific requirement for your character is that it is not human but an anthropomorphised animal or object.
They would like to see a full digital documentation of your progress through a comprehensive blog alongside a series of concept drawings and visual representations of the characters you have developed.
These proposed characters should also have a rationale that explains their evidence.

Angelina Ballerina - Book

Angelina was a story book published by the Penguin Group in 1983, where the story went on to publishing over twenty books. The story was by Katherine Holabird and illustrations by Helen Craig. In 2001 a television series was made and soon became widely popular.

The story is about a young mouse called Angelina who wants to be a ballerina, she lives a ordinary life and is very helping but she dances all the time, one day her mother buys Angelia a little dress and ballet shoes. Angelina dancers her heart out and the story is about how she started helping her mother, cleaning her room, being helpful and then when she had worked hard for many years Angelina got her dream, she became a famous Ballerina.

The style of the cartoon is very old fashioned and reserved.
All of the characters are sketchy pencil drawings with a hard outline. The colours are pastel and elegant, the drawings are all detailed and beautifully hand drawn.
