Overview - The scenario
The BBC, in association with the Recycle Now organisation, are looking to develop a cross platform series of games, videos and animated stories to promote and raise the profile of recycling amongst young people (it is up to you to identify an age range).
They are looking for ideas for characters to be used during the development of this project, the only specific requirement for your character is that it is not human but an anthropomorphised animal or object.
They would like to see a full digital documentation of your progress through a comprehensive blog alongside a series of concept drawings and visual representations of the characters you have developed.
These proposed characters should also have a rationale that explains their evidence.

Arthur Generated

This is my original picture of Arthur. Instead of creating a whole new character, i decided to adapt the main character.

Here i traced the original image on to tracing paper so that i could duplicate the image and change it as many times as i wanted, i used lead pencil so mistakes could be rubbed out.

Next i started to rub out some of the characteristics that make Arthur so "nice" looking. I begun with pointing the ears to make harder edges and a more spiky tone. I then changed his eyes, eyebrows, jumper, and trousers so he looks dirty and disheveled.

After that i took it a step further. I pointed Arthur's hands, sharpened his mouth and thickened his eyebrows to give a nasty look about him. I added the skull and cross bones for a more obvious look about him.

In conclusion although i changed many characteristics about Arthur he still ended up look more "rebel Arthur" than "evil Arthur" but after thinking about it i decided to just go with it.
